Mill Street Bistro ~ Elora

Untitled

So we were in Elora for a day trip and were looking for a place for lunch.  The bistro is made in a mid nineteenth century stonemason’s house and, as you can see from the pictures, looks inviting and we loved the stonework so we gave it a shot.  You know sometimes you’re on vacation and everything just goes great?  That is what it was like eating at Mill Street Bistro!

 The Food

We love looking over the menu and seeing that someone is having some fun in the kitchen coming up with new ideas.   The creative menu gave us a number of options to choose from and was fairly easy on the wallet.   Now we really like it when restaurants try to source as much as they can locally but this place actually grows most of its own produce!

Gezellig-ness

As we were eating midweek, we were fortunate enough to get  a seat right on the back patio with a great view of the Grand River and the Bistro’s gardens.  The stone walls of the inside of the restaurant give it a nice cozy feel and was definitely inviting us back but we’re big fans of patios and we loved it here.  This was  a great place to relax and kick back for a bit and eat their great food.

Eet Smakelijk!!
